Gather & Make: Herbal Medicine Making

Gather & Make: Samhain Herbal Medicine Making

Thursday October 29th, 5:30pm-7:30pm | Limited to 6 people

Join Aja for a cozy fall evening of celebrating the pagan holiday Samhain ~ the midway point between autumn equinox and winter solstice, along with making herbal medicines for your home apothecary, sourced from our farm and from what we’ve foraged.

✨ Samhain marks the final harvest and the turn into the dark half of the year, a time when the veil between worlds is said to be thin and our ancestors feel close. As we bask in the abundance of the season, this gathering offers a moment to slow down, connect with nature, and share in nourishment with simple, ancestral ingredients.

We’ll begin by building a nature altar together and making offerings to our ancestors. Bring a photo, a name, or a small object for someone you’d like to remember. As we craft, we’ll share the stories of each plant and the places they come from, and reflect on the medicines our own ancestors may have known.

Together, we’ll craft tinctures, elixirs, infused vinegars, body oils, and more, working with:

🌹 Heart medicines: rose, rose hips, and hawthorn
🌿 Immune support: elderberry, tulsi, fennel, and thyme
🌙 Nervous system support: milky oats, chamomile, and catnip

This is a space to gather, create with intention, and be in connection with the land, our ancestors, and one another. My hope is that you’ll not only take home a beautiful product, but also the experience of what it feels like to be empowered, nourished, and wildly human!
