Natural Fibers Clothing Swap w/ Indigo Dyeing

Natural Fibers Clothing Swap w/ Indigo Dyeing

Boulder Women! Join us outside on the homestead during this beautiful time of year for a clothing swap and indigo dying workshop. We are passionate about wearing natural fibers, especially ones that are pre-loved! Our friend Kelwyn Teresa will be leading an indigo dying workshop for the second half of the gathering, where you will have the opportunity to dye 2 items of your choosing, either a new find or something you bring. You can dye any color you want, not just white! You will leave with the knowledge to do easily do this at home.

Indigo dyeing is a traditional method of coloring fabric using natural indigo pigment, derived from the indigo plant. The process involves dipping cloth into an indigo dye bath multiple times — as the fabric is exposed to air, the dye oxidizes and turns a rich, deep blue.
