Cooking With Fire
There’s something ancient and undeniable about cooking with fire. Long before stoves, timers, and recipes, humans gathered around flames to prepare food, connect, and be nourished. In this two-hour workshop we’ll return to that primal art—exploring the nature of fire as teacher, inspiration, and guide. You’ll learn not just techniques, but the embodied understanding of tending flame, reading heat, and moving with the rhythm of wood and smoke.
Together we’ll cook meats and vegetables over real wood—searing, smoking, slow cooking, and even practicing the art of intentional burning. Along the way we’ll explore the simplicity, respect, and superior taste that fire brings to food. Whether you’re new to fire cooking or looking to deepen your relationship with it, this experience will spark both your senses and your connection to the elemental roots of nourishment.
In this beginner friendly class we will go over all the basics;
How to build a fire and of course, fire safety! (This is Colorado after all).
How to select the right woods for cooking and how to turn that wood into hot burning charcoal
A variety of different fire setups and ways to cook with fire.
