you enjoy eating: mindful eating experience

Join us at our homestead just 10 minutes from downtown Boulder to enjoy lunch together in silence. In the last many years we have seen the profound impact simply eating mindfully in silence can have on our psyche. Eating is a sacred act, it is incredibly intimate, the state we are in, not just the food we are eating, can greatly effect how we feel after. This is an opportunity to slow down, pause, and reimagine our relationship to this thing that we do at least three times a day. It’s not just what you eat (which in this case will be homemade, organic and local), but also how you eat (and in this case with presence and gratitude).

We have both been on a long journey of redefining our relationship to food, and have experienced potent transformations through deepening into the process of eating, something we have done every single day of our lives. Mindful eating can look like a lot of things, we aren’t here to teach you how to eat, or to show you “the perfect” and “best” way to consume food, rather to offer you a serene space, with like minded folk, to really take time to honor your body with delicious, love made, nourishing foods.

Intention

In a world where falsely advertised diets, pseudo scientific “health” marketing and corporate greed have run the show for long enough, it’s time we start to take matters of the edible variety, into our own hands (and minds).

This is an opportunity to re-pattern and re-imagine your relationship to food and not just what, but how you eat. When we take the time to simply slow down and be present to what arises as we consume food meant to nourish not just our body but our being, so much starts to open up.

Yoshua will cook a beautiful meal of fresh, local, organic and in season goodies and guide everyone into a simple meditation to become more present with the act of eating. It can be eye opening, it can be playful, it can be silly, it can be profound, so much can come to the surface when we really take the time to sit in silence and simply be in a state of joy and gratitude while nourishing ourselves. There will be space to share any reflections after as well as time to walk the land and say hi to the goats, rabbits and ducks.
